WHO ARE YOU? Yuka is the energetic, 'life and soul' of peaky p-key! her love of fitness makes her incredibly driven and fun-loving. on top of her work as peaky's vj, yuka works part-time as photography assistant. she is in constant pursuit to capture what she calls 'the greatest moment' with her camera, which she often strives to find in each person she meets. she describes it as when someone is in their truest element! due to her perceptive eye, she often seems capable of knowing people's true feelings before they do. she always encourages her friends to be genuine versions of themselves, but she often forgets herself in place of helping those around her. she means well, but has to remind herself that sometimes she needs help too!

this girl... she's caused me so much trouble this year! ( ；∀；) my diamonds.. my cans.. my dignity! all in good fun. i could never judge her for the not-so-fortunate situations we've been in together this year. we made it to 1k right before global upped the dig rank X-), but i still consider it an achievement! maybe the next year will bring me better pulls. well what can i actually say about yuka? she's my goofy girl and i love her! at first she wasn't much but a silly character i got attached to, however the more i got into d4dj the more i explored into her! i feel as though a lot of people sleep on her because on the surface she can come off as a very single-sided, jock-y airhead but she's actually super intelligent and emotionally aware! i love that she remains super high energy and loyal to her friends, and has such a charming older-sister nature that isn't just the typical wise-seeming disciplining way. there's a reason she talks about 'the greatest moment', she really see's people for who they are and isn't afraid to tell them when they aren't being honest to themselves. i really enjoyed the exploration of her character they did this year with pk summer, which expanded on her want to help others. it was such a sweet and understanding explaination of why she's so helpful, and really touched on how she has a tendency to put others before herself. i thought it was so interesting and the right amount of angst that added so much to her pre-existing behaviors without making her seem out of character. yuka has been unfortunately shelved development-wise in a lot of events, which is why i understand people not seeing much in her at first, but this year has really been great for her!

#1 bisexual yuka - yuka doesn't have a ton of explicitly romantic interactions w/ ppl. she loves to give compliments but nothing much outside of that, she's not shown solely being in to women so i think it's fair to hc her as bisexual bc why not! ON THE OTHER HAND.....
#2 cisgender yuka - *loud gasps* yes i have the tendency to trans-ify any comfort character i get my hands on but for her i think this is a funny exception. i hate dumbing yuka down but she does have these moments where she comes across as like, the "golden retriever" type of dumb sweetness and excitment. i just think she's painfully cisgender but in a nice way, like i can see shinobu being up to some non-binary lesbian nonsense and yuka somehow coming up with the strangest but genuinely effective compliment or solution to her issues. IDK LOL!
#3 ibuyuka - yeah.. this started out as a joke, i just liked both of them and were like they interact enough- it could work. but actually as i got more into it i realized that they are literally so cute together! gymbros? highly dedicated? ibuki who is hiding her true emotions under the need to act stoic and yuka the empathetic mastermind who's the only one willing to call her out and allow her to experience true happiness while also continuing to support her and work through her issues?! wishing they met each other sooner because they think their lives would be drastically changed for the better?!?! realizing that in order to be happy they must be the most honest expressions of themselves?!!!!!!! yes.. all of that .. in two girls.. who lvoe the gym.. and each other. bah but if im being honest, it's not much in terms of the insanely GAY ass storylines going on in this game i won't deny it! but it's cute, and they clearly have some intentional interactions and dynamics going on that i don't think i'm entirely just in my head about it. ALSO LOOK AT THIS LIKE WHAT IS THIS IF NOT GAY? ? ? ? ? her line literally translates to something like "i thought the sunrise would be beautiful from here" , and then they have her looking DIRECTLY at ibuki? i can't take it !!
#4 yukatowa - this one on the other hand i am ENTIRELY in my head about. i just like towa and yuka, they were my first faves. they get along well, high energy, loves giving attention/recieving attention, yadda yadda. harmoe are also two of my fav seiyuu's so yeah. its just fun!
